Fylkingen is an artist-run, non-profit association for experimental music and art, founded in 1933. In 2018, Fylkingen celebrated its 85th anniversary, making it one of the world's oldest forums of its kind. The venue has a capacity of 150 people. There is a sprung, black and carpeted floor, black walls and black ceiling. The room is a so-called black box.

The basic rig includes a 4-channel loudspeaker/sound system from L'Acoustics and Meyer Sound and a 24-channel digital mixing desk from Presonus. There is no backline existing at Fylkingen, and so artists are required to bring their own.

There is a shared backstage area, where food and beverages will be served.
