Meet Maria Rylander

Jazz vocalist, songwriter and project leader

My name is Maria Rylander, and I'm a passionate supporter of grassroots initiatives and international collaboration in jazz and improvised music. Super excited about Musikcentrum Syds initiativ Jazz Byen platform!

I run Knutpunkt, a network connecting musicians, organizers and venues across the south of Sweden, and I also serve on the Board of the Europe Jazz Network. Building meaningful connections between people, organizations and ideas is something I truly care about.

I'm excited to be part of the Digital Open Venue and would love to meet you! If you're interested in collaboration, networking, or simply exchanging ideas about music, communities and international projects, come and say hello. I look forward to meeting you online!

Maria was also one of the prime motors of the Swedish official host country project at JAZZAHEAD 2026!
